"Ding Dong!" (TSLI+)

Training venue: Royal Concert Hall Nottingham, Theatre Square, Nottingham
Date: Friday 4 September and Saturday 5 September 2020 (including interpreted performance of The Book of Mormon on Saturday 5 September 2020 at 2:30pm)
Trainers: Donna Ruane RSLI and Alexandra Shaw RSLT

Using The Book of Mormon we explore the challenges of interpreting adult humour wrapped up in a musical.

Suitable for Interpreters with no or limited to extensive Theatre experience, this course is for those who wish to explore the demands of and skills required to operate in this specialist domain. Advanced elements will broaden and challenge those who have theatre interpreting experience.

Please note - this course is intended to give a safe space to have-a-go along with guidance, tips and tools for a possible future in this arena. [EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY!]


Friday 4 September 2020: 10:00am to 5:00pm - course

Saturday 5 September 2020:

10:00am to 1:00pm - course

2:30pm - interpreted performance of The Book of Mormon at Theatre Royal Nottingham

Cost includes training, materials, tea/coffee and rocking it out:
Early bird (before 31 May 2020) - £250 (including cost of theatre ticket)
Standard rate (1 June 2020 onward) - £270 (including cost of theatre ticket)

Due to The Book of Mormon ticket availability, we recommend that you book your place ASAP. Receipt of payment is required before your placement is confirmed by Theatresign.
