EXPLORING SHAKESPEARE

Training venue: Shakespeare's Globe New Globe Walk London SE1
Date: Thursday 21 September & Friday 22 September 2017
Trainers: Donna Ruane RSLI and Alexandra Shaw RSLT

This course allows us to explore Shakespeare's works and how we may begin to approach its beauty using BSL without losing the essence of the source language. Course participants will attend a signed performance of "King Lear". 

We invite applicants holding Level 3+ as this will benefit those working with Shakespeare in a variety of domains.

PROGRAMME:

Thursday 21 September 2017: 
10:30am - 5:30pm:  Exploring and understanding Shakespeare, Building a translation

Friday 22 September 2017: 
10:00am - 1:00pm:  Developing strategies
2:00pm - 5:00pm:  Signed performance of "King Lear" by Janet Guest RSLI

Cost includes - training and materials, 1 ticket to the signed performance of "King Lear", 1 interval drink (wine or a soft beverage) and tea, coffee and biscuits during training:
Early bird (before 31 July 2017) - £260 
Normal price (1 August 2017 onward) - £280 

Receipt of payment is required before your placement is confirmed by Theatresign.  (Please ensure you have the correct bank account details when making payment. For those who have attended previous courses - these details have now changed.)
